With 15 years of planning experience, Andy excels at helping major institutional clients address their facility needs strategically with context-appropriate solutions. He understands the unique requirements of working with federal clients and, in particular, the planning processes of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. He has a track record of turning ambiguity, competing interests, and funding limitations into achievable facility actions both big and small. Andy is an active participant in the Federal Planning Division of the American Planning Association and has presented at the group’s annual conference on numerous occasions. Before joining MAKERS, he worked at a Seattle-area architecture firm on large-scale redevelopment projects around the Puget Sound region.
Andy’s professional interests include transportation and other livability issues on military installations, small and simple urban design improvements, and improving public sector workplaces through private sector best practices.
